Pieter holds an engineering degree from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne and started his career at Modelon, close 10 years ago. At first – he was a developer of Modelon vapor cycle libraries. He dug deep into the numerics studying behavior of reversible heat pump systems. He left Modelon for a short while, working on machine learning for the optimization of Amazon’s linehaul networks, though quickly rejoined Modelon in a commercial capacity. He has since led Modelon’s business development and support activities in the USA. He is now on a mission to make (thermofluid) system modelling accessible to every engineer.
