An Open Letter to Our Customers, Partners, and Stakeholders

Dear Modelon Community, 

Modelon has been instrumental in driving innovation within engineering teams worldwide through its advanced system modeling and simulation solutions. As the new CEO, I am honored to lead this remarkable company. I look forward to introducing myself and sharing my vision for our continued dedication to our customers.  

Over the past few years, Modelon has transformed from a consulting firm into a product-led company with unparalleled simulation and modeling expertise. As co-founder and previously CEO, Magnus Gäfvert has courageously guided the team through significant changes, including Modelon’s entry into NASDAQ as a public company. Throughout this journey, Modelon has strengthened its commitment to customers and set a high standard for being a technology partner. I join a team that has passion and dedication towards its customers, and I accept the leadership responsibility with great care and purpose. 

The heart of any successful company is its people, both employees and customers. During my first months, I will be spending time with customers to understand what they value most about Modelon and what they need to succeed further. I am particularly excited to meet our customers and partners at the upcoming Modelon Innovate conference in Copenhagen. That is sure to be a great event where many companies share their successes and ideas for further innovation. 

Perhaps now more than ever, our world needs technology that enhances our quality of life, which is not at the expense of our planet. Companies everywhere aim to address challenges within climate change, urbanization, infrastructure, and environmental sustainability through engineering design. My vision includes further evolving Modelon to be the technology partner these companies can confidently rely on for system simulation and design. Together, we’ll build a path forward for innovative technology to become a reality and improve the world.

Jan Häglund

Jan Häglund is the Chief Executive Office at Modelon. He had nearly three decades of experience in engineering technology, most recently serving as CEO of ENEA, a telecom and cybersecurity software company. He has also led technology and R&D functions at Ericsson, a globally recognized telecommunications company based in Sweden. His academic background includes a PhD in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics KTH Royal Institute of Technology, an MBA from Columbia Business School, and a Master DEA from Ecole Nationale de Physique de Grenoble.
