Modelon will exhibit (booth 123) and present at POWERGEN International taking place on February 21st-23rd in Orlando, Flordia. POWERGEN International is the largest networking and business hub for electricity generators and solution providers engaged in power generation. Power producers, utilities, EPCs, consultants, OEMs, and large-scale energy users gather at POWERGEN International to discover new solutions as large centralized power generation business models evolve into cleaner and more sustainable energy sources. Attendees at POWERGEN International include:

  • Technology experts
  • Utilities
  • Engineers
  • Suppliers
  • Decision-makers
  • Thought leaders

Stop by our booth – 123,  to learn how we can help you design cleaner and more sustainable energy sources using system simulation.

  • Presentation title: Leveraging Physics-Based Modeling from Offline to Online Applications
Presented by: Mortiz Hubel, Industry Director, Energy

    • Presentation Abstract: Simulation technologies have become well-established in the industry for product design. Thanks to their predictive capabilities, physics-based models are largely preferred over data-driven models for offline applications, from early component design to system verification. Online applications such as fault detection, optimal control, and performance monitoring set higher requirements on simulation technology for computational performance and connectivity, making data-driven approaches attractive as well.In this presentation, we’ll discuss how physics-based models can be deployed more widely throughout organizations to connect engineering departments, internal stakeholders, and partners to communicate information from a single source of truth. In addition, we’ll show how physics-based models complement data-driven models for online and offline applications.
