ModelonのChief Strategy Officerが2017 GPDISで講演
Hubertus Tummescheit, Modelon’s Chief Strategy Officer, will present ‘The Functional Mock-up Interface: Innovation through Open Standards’ at the 2017 Global Product Data Interoperability Summit (GPDIS), September 19 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA.
This presentation will address a critical pain point arising among model-based systems engineers in the aerospace industry; the ability to share models between tools and deploy easy-to-use models to development engineers. The automotive industry, an FMI early adopter, has successfully utilized FMI technologies for model exchange and co-simulation of dynamic models at the system and component level.
“FMI breaks down barriers between departments and companies to collaborate more efficiently without major investments in new tool chains or training” says Hubertus Tummescheit. The following presented examples will enable process innovations and efficiency gains to tame the increasing complexity of the software development:
- Connecting tools quickly and efficiently
- Cost efficient enterprise-wide deployment of executable models
- Virtualization of the controls development process
- Reuse of validated models for simulators
- State-of-the-art multi-core support
- Early full system verification by bringing control software combined with plant models into virtual environments early in the design cycle
The presentation will also give an outlook on the future developments of the FMI standard, as well as an emerging companion standard for System Structure and Parameterization (SSP).
