Modelon Appoints Dr. Hubertus Tummescheit as Chief Solutions Officer
Modelon is proud to announce that Dr. Hubertus Tummescheit will assume responsibility as Chief Solutions Officer effective immediately.
As Chief Solutions Officer, Dr. Tummescheit will be responsible for architecting and delivering value-added service engagements to Modelon’s global industrial customers, including the delivery of small targeted projects to large scale technology deployment programs. “Hubertus’ appointment is perfectly timed for Modelon’s growth,” said Modelon CEO Magnus Gävfert. “With Hubertus in this role we look to tightly align our product capabilities with our service offerings and carry on with Modelon’s commitment to provide our customers with complete systems modeling and simulation solutions.”
Dr. Tummescheit is one of the original founders of Modelon. He has been involved in the design of the Modelica language and is the developer of multiple open source and commercial Modelica libraries in the energy and thermos-fluids domains. Dr. Tummescheit is a member of the board of the Modelica Association, a member of the FMI steering committee, and plays an active role in the future development of both standards. Dr. Tummescheit received his MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg, Germany in 1996, and his PhD in Automatic Control from the University of Lund, Sweden in 2002. At Modelon, Dr. Tummescheit continues to be a driving force in positioning Modelon as a global leader in systems modeling and simulation and possesses a proven track record of helping customers achieve success when applying Modelon solutions.
