FMI Forum

Modelon is pleased to host the upcoming one-day event, FMI FORUM 2018, to be held on 22 May 2018, the day before JSAE, at the Yokohama Symposia, Japan.

Organized by Modelon, in partnership with sponsors and exhibitors, this forum is the first of its kind – bringing together leaders from around the world to present on current trends, best practices, lessons learned, and success stories. Our goal is to help attendees understand the needs and benefits associated with implementing FMI standards into their current work flow. View the entire agenda here.

After the forum, a social event is organized for participants to meet speakers and other users. Registration for the forum and social event is now open! Space is limited.

Modelon experts will present the following:

  • FMI for integration and collaboration, Dr. Maria Henningsson – This talk will present current big trends in simulation technology and how these relate to FMI: industrialization and democratization of simulations. Using best practices from software development, such as version management, continuous integration, and central repositories, FMI can enable new and more efficient ways of working with simulation models. The new companion standard to FMI, SSP, is central in this trend. Download abstract.
  • A Client-Server Architecture for Modeling and Simulation using FMI, Dr. Hilding Elmqvist – Model based product design requires both intuitive and effective user interface and powerful computing power. Fortunately, modern computer systems provide a solution with client software, called Web Apps, running in a web browser and use of cloud computing and cloud storage for simulations and storing models.
