This also applies for thermodynamic and thermo-hydraulic systems i.e. also for the air conditioning system (HVAC) of an automotive vehicle. In order to optimize the efficiency of HVAC-systems and to obtain a better understanding of the complex transient system behaviour of automotive refrigeration cycles a Modelica library named ACLib was developed in a joint research project by DaimlerChrysler AG, Airbus Deutschland GmbH and TUHH.
